Job Title: Assistant Program Coordinator

Job Description: Assistant Program Coordinator for the summer entrepreneurship programs, “Young Millionaires Program” and the “Student Biz”. This 8 week position provides an excellent opportunity for a student to explore their knowledge of business while working with entrepreneurial youth.

This position is being advertised under the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) initiative. To be eligible for this position, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age on the start date of the job. You also must have been a full-time student during the previous academic year and be intending to return to full-time studies in the next academic year. You also must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. You must also be legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist to coordinate the summer entrepreneurship programs, “Young Millionaires” and “Student Biz PEI”. This individual will work with youth to develop their summer business. Duties will include administrative support, assisting with workshops using established materials, assisting with site visits, and assisting with group activities. Ability to work with computers an asset.

Experience working with youth will be considered an asset.

Desired Level of Education: Post- Secondary; minimum completion of first year.

Field of Studies: Business Administration, Community Economic Development and Education.

This position allows the student to explore their knowledge of entrepreneurship, educate youth on business and help those youth to develop a summer business.

Security and Safety: Criminal record Check; must be able to work with children and youth.
Wage: 10.75 per hour
Hours: 37.5
Terms of Employment: 8 Weeks, Temporary, Full Time, Day, Evening, Weekend
